This recipe just may be Bambi's worst nightmare. I think once you give this a try you just may be hooked! This recipe is actually inspired from the ABC's show Biggest Loser. The original recipe asks for ground turkey meat but I substituted it with venison. To me, it's really organic and probably just a bit more lean. Can't you tell I'm a little health conscious? Anyway, here is what you need:

- Olive oil Spray
- 1 lb of Venison or Turkey (Grounded)
- 1/2 c. of BBQ (i.e. Honey BBQ)
- 2 oz of crumbled Goat Cheese

Peheat oven to 400 Degrees.

Gather all your ingredients with a medium sized square pan then spray the pan with Olive Oil spray.(I lined the baking dish with tin foil for easier clean-up)See picture below.

Grab your 1/2 measuring cup and fill it with the BBQ sauce. In a medium sized bowl place the 1 lb of meat and top it with 5 tbsp. of BBQ sauce from your measuring cup.

Pour in the 2 oz. of Goat Cheese.

And mix the ingredients well with a spoon or with your hand. :) Either way will work.

Once your ingredients are well mixed, place it in the square dish and form it into a "log".

Once made into a log use the remainder of the BBQ sauce using a basting brush. (Is that what it's called??) Oh wait.. it's called a pastry brush! HA!

Then finally put it into the oven and bake it for 23-27 min. And this will serve about 8 people.

Enjoy!

Just the other day I listened to some advise of another fellow blogger of purchasing a universal yet flattering shade of red/orange/pink/coral nail polish.

I was skeptical at first... especially with the color red, or gosh even an orangey-red! We don't really get along all that well.

And then I discovered something.... This is the most flattering red/orangish/pink/coral I've ever seen! I'm in love!

Considered yourself enlightened!

You can find this OPI Cajun Shrimp here or at your nearest professional beauty store! I'm telling you, you'll fall in love with this color to! So perfect for the summer.

Yes it's Friday! So it is time to reflect what has been great for me for the week! I would almost say its almost life changing....only to a certain extent.

So here is the 5 great things that happened to me for the week:

1. My friend asked me to be a braids maid in her wedding, so I think it's just an honor!

2. I'm, of coarse, on weight watchers and found out they make chicken burgers. Let me tell you they're are soooo good with mango salsa from Q'doba! It was so good I ate it b/4 I could even take a picture of it to share with you!

3. My husband and I went out for a very pleasant evening walk. The sunset was gorgous, thunder heads in the sky, then when it went to dusk the lightning was flashing that matched the coral/orange colored sunset. What a great night! And don't worry, the lightning was way off in the distance.

From KHQ News!!

4. As of today, my husband is officially free from the Marines! It's a great day for him so we're going out tonight and celebrating! YAY!! He is finally 100% MINE! :) Just an FYI my husband is the one on the right. Did I also mention that he is a twin too?

5. I got my braces and luckily they are porcelain so they won't be that noticeable!

Happy Friday!!!!

Okay so here is my first "Do-It-Yourself" project you can do at home. But I'm only going to show you the before...well for now anyway. One of the ways I gain experience on interiors is basically trail and error. Its like you don't know if you like it once you try it. Anyways, I'm like my own worst client. I always tend to do what is safe - like going with non exciting color and/or prints ( which is mainly due to my husbands objections). But when it comes to my friends or other clients (which I'll share eventually) I've had, then I'm all about adding the color, prints, and anything to make it look grand.

Yes this is bit of a boring problem area here. Stayed tuned to show how I do the after!
Yes it is Friday, the best day of the week! Which means I'll be linking up with Lauren from my grey desk blog.

So here is my 5 great things that happened to me this week!

1. I bought my plane ticket to visit my family in the great lake state. And I'll be leaving in 2 weeks!

2. My husband and I got an invitation to go to a friends 30th birthday party at a camp ground for a whole weekend. I'm pretty stoked that I'll be finally getting to camp for the first time this year.

3. On the 4th of July my husband and I spent a relaxing day out at a reservoir and went fishing. We didn’t catch anything but we watched some eagles that were hanging about. They are so fun to watch!

4. I'm doing Weight Watchers and lost 1.5 lbs for the week!
5. I've finally started my blog! YAY!

How was your week?

Kennedy Meadows, CA

Hey ya'll! Welcome to Lil Bucks Homestead blog! This is my first blog post......ever. Anyhow, I would like to introduce myself and let you know what it’s all going to be all about.. I am originally from the southwest Michigan area and relocated to Idaho six years ago to finish my education and fulfill my dream of living in the west. I am an interior design student, and as my husband can surely tell you I love to take my work home with me. He says he does not mind because it is like coming home to a new house all the time.
My husband is truly my best friend. I’m so blessed to have him as my husband. How I met him has to be a post within itself. Let me tell you, we were nuts! But it is truly quite a love story.
Just before I met my husband I found my kid as I call him. My four year old Golden Retriever Koby. (*sigh* They just grow up so fast don't they? I can't believe he is that old already)If you have ever seen the movie “Up” just picture the dog Doug just bigger and wigglier. But really he is just the biggest lover you’ll ever meet.

Koby

Ace is my husband’s little heathen as he calls him. He is about a four year old blue healer that we rescued from an animal shelter. He follows Scott everywhere, no really he does!

Anyways, this blog is a place for me to share my love of interior design and hopefully meet other interior designers to learn from, to be inspired from, and to expand my creativity with my readers. I won’t all be interior design, but I also want to share the other things that I enjoy! So follow me and let’s become friends!
