Friday is here and there is a 3 day weekend ahead! Right? Maybe just the regular to for me since I still have deadline to attack. But there will finally be a bit of downtime which I really need.

Here is the top 5 things that happened for my week:

1 - Found a great workout routine/training to do at the gym. I really like it, and noticing that I'm getting better and stronger. I'll have to share with you soon!

2 - Had lunch at my favorite park area with my co-worker this week. Always a plus!

3 - Having my first pumpkin pie latte! Ahhh I love those! Is anyone else ready for fall? I know I am and I've been itching to get my fall decor and scents out. Okay so perhaps I am pushing my fall scents.

4 - I discovered the new sport of boxing. My husband was teaching me and I got really into it and really loved the aggression it got out! Anyways, needless to say, my husband was excited to see me take interest in it that he went out and bought me pink gloves. :)

5 - My husband bought me this really cute decorative owl light! Perfect to start my fall decor!

How has your week been!?!

If anyone knows me, they know that I love to decorate with antlers. If any designer knows, you have to decor this piece just right and in the right area.  It's great to add a primitive touch to just about any room. Best would be in living rooms, entry ways, kitchens, and bedrooms. Back in college, I've even designed a furniture piece that have antlers as a accent. You must be thinking; "she is crazy/weird if she love to decor with antlers!" Let me tell you, your husband will be very proud! Just try it. Of course, I posted photos to get your inspiration juices going.

Most of these beauty finds are the main essentials of my everyday needs. This would be the Clinique foundation in pore refinement, bare minerals foundation powder (yes, I use both at the same time), EOS lip balm (smells heavenly), and the make up remover. I love those products and have for years. My skin tends to be a bit oily in the T-zone and the pore refining does its job well. The 3 minute miracle deep conditioner was a recent find. Its smells really, really good and made my hair silky soft. I do recommend that you try this product and it was only $2.99 at Target! Lastly, is of course OPI Cajun Shrimp. I absolutely love this color! It's a bit pink, or red, or reddish orange. Whatever color you see it as, it is perfect for summer. Perhaps for fall to!

Thanks for visiting today! I should be back to a normal schedule from now on. Work was owning me for the last 2 and half weeks! Again, thanks for being patient with me. I have missed you!

Love,

The Catty-Did

Sheesh all I feel that I talk about these days are how far behind I am, work this, work that... Are you getting sick of it as well as I am?

I'm trying to get back in the game of things but (here I go again!) I am so busying with work. Still! I've honestly been working weekends and doing 10 - 12 hour work days. Bare with me, okay? I sure miss doing posts, and sharing my interests with you. Every now and then when I'm working I get side tracked with inspiration to do fun posts on my blog. Get ready for them.

So again, I was hoping that I would be back to regular 8 hour days by now. That still won't happen just yet. And honestly, I don't know how long this will keep up. Crossing my fingers that it'll be til the end of this week.

For now, I put together a little August side tape to listen to. It is music that calms me and helps me get through the long
hours. Or just taking a moment to be in the house alone and listen. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for baring with me for the last couple of weeks.

I don't have a post prepared or really any this week. Work has been super, super busy lately that I've had to work literally all weekend. There are a few deadlines to meet for the week and unfortunately have been taking a lot of time to do so. I hope you still stop in and say "hi".  Things (hopefully) should be up and running smoothly later this week. Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Well I have a feeling I'll be playing catch up for the next couple of weeks. It has been CRA-ZY lately. Especially with work. Yes that is why I'm late. Not only that, but I have to pull an all weekender. But hey, looking on the bright side, I will be getting overtime! I have a few great things to share from the past couple of weeks, since I missed last week. So here are my top things that has happened to me over the last couple of weeks.

1. My husband and I finally has made it down in California to see some his family and friends. It has been 3 years since we've last been down. And boy, it was so nice! If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a big family girl. Love being around 'em!

2. On the way down to Cali (we drove, in case you didn't know), we passed sooo many wild mustangs. It was so amazing and beautiful.

3. A visit to Kennedy Meadows. I will do a recap soon but that place is so much fun. Honestly, it also is a place that forces you to relax and to really enjoy the company around you.

4. I caught my first fish in a stream and had to kiss the little sucker. More of this story later..

5. Last night, I've gotten to met one of my husbands fellow Marine buddies. It's always special to meet these guys, not only are they close to my husband, but they go through with a lot together. It honestly makes me feel all warm inside when they're always welcome me with open arms.

I hope you had a fabulous couple of weeks. Thanks for visiting!
HI! So I have a bit of a style/beauty crush on Lauren Conrad. I love how simple her look is. More really of her hair (I'd LOVE to have that hair), and her make up.  For the longest time, I'm personally of a solid colored shirts kind of gal. If you think about it, being a plain dresser seems to never go out of style. With the looks I chose below of LC tells me I'm really in the mood for fall. How about you?

On another side note, I had a GREAT time in Cali. I cannot wait to share with you. But til then, I hope you enjoyed my little inspiration of LC style. And as always thanks for visiting. Please, please like my facebook page to!

The top I'm wearing has been hanging in my closet forever! Never been worn. I know. I've probably committed a sin. Tonight I had a great excuse to pull it out and wear it. Finally. One of the best things I love about my job is that my boss really doesn't care how I dress. Except when it comes to meetings, meeting clients, our reps, etc... So tonight I had a visit with one of our rep from the designer industry. This outfit is sophisticated yet flirty enough to have a night out with the love of your life or a night out of town. I think this could even be dressed up even more with faux leather pants paired with a blazer jacket. Perhaps I should do a post on that as well! Well thanks for visiting! It might be quite til next Wednesday since I'll be Cali bound with no communication to the outside world. Maybe. I still haven't made up my mind. Til then, have a wonderful rest of your week!

xoxoxo,

For this weeks of my series of getting healthy, I'll be sharing with you my typical workout. It does vary really. Sometimes I play a game with myself on the cardio machines. But I always, always at least get in 40 -60 minutes in for the day. Always. The first cardio machine I head to would be the treadmill. You can find what I do here for my treadmill work outs. I do try to run on the treadmill for up to an hour but I tend to get bored. I'll either head for the elliptical or the stationary bike to finish the rest of the my goal time.

The gym I attend is Planet Fitness, and they have a great circuit training section. It includes stair stepping for adding cardio, and weight machines. I love the circuit training. Cardio and weight training for a half hour. It really seems to go a lot faster then you think. When it comes to time, I always at least do 30 minutes of hard cardio and then their circuit training.

On my long days, 45-90 minutes of cardio, and weight training. You should concentrate on a certain group of muscles like legs, arms, abs, you get the picture. What ever machines are there around you,  target the muscles you want to work on, and do 3 sets of 8/10.  I hope this helps you get an idea of what your wanting to do at the gym. Happy working out!

Thanks for visiting!

*But sure to consult with your doctor before doing any exercise program. I'm not a professional trainer in any way, this is all by my opinion and what I find works well for me.*

Hi friend! Can you believe this is the first day of August?!? Oh my gosh time could slow down. Really. Either that, or I'm just incredibly busy. Which I am. A lot has been happening lately and I can't wait to share.

Here are the top five that has happened for me this week.

1. On Sunday, I convinced my sin to who I call my Idaho mom. I told her that I've only rode horse only 1 time since I went and finished college. She was in shock! This last Sunday I finally get to do my most favorite hobby of all. Trail riding or just riding horses in general. Yes finally after all the those college years. I had a reunion with my favorite horse named Moon Shine. It seemed that he remembered me and was nuzzling me in my arm. Anyways just a sweet horse. Here are a couple of the pictures from last Sunday and the others are old ones from when I lived and worked on the ranch.

2. We went to a location to measure a building of ours, and it seemed to be a quick flash back of good'ol studio days.

3. One of our venders for work just gave my firm tiles. Just gave them to us for a project! Let me tell you, if your a designer like me and when your told you pick out anything you want while your in a showroom - you get all giddy like your in a candy store. So awesome of them to do that for us! (Did I mention that your the top of my list for my future business.)

4. My husband came home from work one day to give me flowers. I love that man so much. I'd say he's a keeper.

5. Yesterday, I was offered a raise from work! Love my job!

How was your week? Tell me about it!

Thanks for visiting!
