Ever need a pick me up? Yeah. I do to. It's been one of those weeks. Well, really the last couple of weeks to be precise. When I have a moment of down time, I like to explore on Pinterest to gain inspiration and at times, need some words to live by.  Maybe just need some good 'ol fashion advice or sometimes find some Ah-Ha moments! Take a look at these recent finds from Pinterest.

Cheers to a new beginning and to a fresh start! How was your New Year's? Mine - should you ask? Well, I was in bed by 9 o'clock sharp. Lame, I know.

I'm looking forward to this year and having a fresh start on other things. Many other things. I usually am not the type to set up some new years resolutions but I have made a list of doing  what I call fresh starts.  There are so many goals to my blog that I want to share with you as well. One of them, is changing my blog name. Maybe. The other, I've been getting a few requests to do more fashion posts, and doing more design/decor posts. There will be quite a few changes that will be happening on here. For now, they are going to be kept secret - just stay tuned!

My personal goals are to go as usual - like dropping those pesky pounds that I've been clinging onto for the past year. Another, I really want to read more - I need to.  Doing so,  I hope it'll to improve my writing skills. I think I'm not the best writer but I'm always looking to improve. My last goal for this year, is that I want to be a better photographer. Well, I think that is about it. Have you set any resolutions for yourself?

Sheesh all I feel that I talk about these days are how far behind I am, work this, work that... Are you getting sick of it as well as I am?

I'm trying to get back in the game of things but (here I go again!) I am so busying with work. Still! I've honestly been working weekends and doing 10 - 12 hour work days. Bare with me, okay? I sure miss doing posts, and sharing my interests with you. Every now and then when I'm working I get side tracked with inspiration to do fun posts on my blog. Get ready for them.

So again, I was hoping that I would be back to regular 8 hour days by now. That still won't happen just yet. And honestly, I don't know how long this will keep up. Crossing my fingers that it'll be til the end of this week.

For now, I put together a little August side tape to listen to. It is music that calms me and helps me get through the long
hours. Or just taking a moment to be in the house alone and listen. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for baring with me for the last couple of weeks.

HI! So I have a bit of a style/beauty crush on Lauren Conrad. I love how simple her look is. More really of her hair (I'd LOVE to have that hair), and her make up.  For the longest time, I'm personally of a solid colored shirts kind of gal. If you think about it, being a plain dresser seems to never go out of style. With the looks I chose below of LC tells me I'm really in the mood for fall. How about you?

On another side note, I had a GREAT time in Cali. I cannot wait to share with you. But til then, I hope you enjoyed my little inspiration of LC style. And as always thanks for visiting. Please, please like my facebook page to!

For this weeks of my series of getting healthy, I'll be sharing with you my typical workout. It does vary really. Sometimes I play a game with myself on the cardio machines. But I always, always at least get in 40 -60 minutes in for the day. Always. The first cardio machine I head to would be the treadmill. You can find what I do here for my treadmill work outs. I do try to run on the treadmill for up to an hour but I tend to get bored. I'll either head for the elliptical or the stationary bike to finish the rest of the my goal time.

The gym I attend is Planet Fitness, and they have a great circuit training section. It includes stair stepping for adding cardio, and weight machines. I love the circuit training. Cardio and weight training for a half hour. It really seems to go a lot faster then you think. When it comes to time, I always at least do 30 minutes of hard cardio and then their circuit training.

On my long days, 45-90 minutes of cardio, and weight training. You should concentrate on a certain group of muscles like legs, arms, abs, you get the picture. What ever machines are there around you,  target the muscles you want to work on, and do 3 sets of 8/10.  I hope this helps you get an idea of what your wanting to do at the gym. Happy working out!

Thanks for visiting!

*But sure to consult with your doctor before doing any exercise program. I'm not a professional trainer in any way, this is all by my opinion and what I find works well for me.*

I have three weeks left of my series of getting healthy. Though I not really done with this journey; I still have a ways to go yet. For this week, I'll share with you what I do on my treadmill workouts I made up for myself. I kind of make em into a game. Sort of. Just to let you know, I'm not at all a very fast treadmill runner. This may be great for a beginner. Try for your self!

Thank you for visiting today! Let me know if this workout did great for you.

Well I'm about 2/3rds the way through of my 3 month series of getting healthy. It's been a process that's for sure. Again, I was hoping by this point, I would be able to share with you my costumed  workout plan from the trainer. But, it seems that the trainer has quite the gym. They are, however, are in the works of finding a new one.  Soooo we will have to wait a bit longer, unfortunately. For this week, I'll  be showing my go-to essentials I use to keep myself on track. They are the bottle blender, gummy multi-vitamins, lean protein powder, camel back water bottle, my phone, ear buds, and a mini cooler. On another side note, I have another goal to work for. My new goal for the week is to really amp up my water intake. I've done my research, and come to find out I should drink an ounce of water for every pound that I weigh. Crazy, huh!? I'm thinking how and the heck can I drink all those ounces?! If a person weighs 180, that is drinking gallon and a half!

Thanks for visiting today. And please like my Facebook page!
